Clark Mills – Thomas E. Drake, 73, of Clark Mills, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016, at his home. Thomas was born March 9, 1943 in Rome, NY, the son of Raymond and Isabelle (Williams) Drake. He was raised and educated in Rome and later served his country with the US Army. Thomas had been employed with Sansone Distributors in Marcy. On June 22, 1982, Thomas married Terry Peck. He was of the Methodist faith. Thomas enjoyed camping, especially at Kayuta Lake. In past years, he had enjoyed hunting and golf. Thomas was a Nascar fan as well as of the racing at the Utica-Rome Speedway. Thomas is survived by his wife, Terry Drake, Clark Mills; seven daughters, Amanda Drake, Clark Mills, Lori (& Shawn) Edick, Rome, Rebecca Drake, PA, Teresa (& Gregorio) Chacon, DE, Dianna (& Thomas) Jarvis, WV, Kathy (& Mark) Vandusen, Rome, Beverly (& Donnie) Selvetti, Rome; two sons, Michael Drake, PA, Thomas Drake, WV; two sisters, Linda Coonrod, FL, Gloria Carmen, Rome; four brothers, James Drake, Clark Mills, Lloyd (& Barbara) Drake, Rome, David (& Carole) Drake, Rome, Gary (& Elizabeth) Drake, Rome. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his canine companions. He is predeceased by a son, Troy Drake, as well as by 5 siblings. Mr. Drake’s funeral service will be held Friday evening, December 2, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton. Interment, in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vernon, will take place at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Friday evening, from 4 – 7 pm, prior to the service. Those wishing may donate to your local humane society or a charity of your choice in Thomas’ memory.
