Florence M. Conroy New Hartford Florence M. Conroy, 93, a resident of the Presbyterian Home for CNY, formerly of Clark Mills and Utica, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the home. Florence was born in Utica on August 14, 1913, the daughter of Frank and Mary Januchowski. She was raised and educated locally, graduating from Clinton High School in 1931. In 1949, Florence married Fredrick Conroy in Utica. Mr. Conroy passed away in 1978. Florence worked for many years for the Marcy Psychiatric Center, retiring as a supervisor in 1972. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Utica. Florence is survived by a sister, Louise Baldwin, Florida; by nephews and nieces, William and Ruth Januchowski, Clark Mills, Ben and Christine Conroy, Massachusetts, as well as by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by a dear friend, Leslie Green, Westmoreland. Besides by her husband, Florence is predeceased by seven sisters and two brothers. Florence's funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 9:30 am from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, New York Mills where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Monday evening from 4 ? 6 pm. Donations in Florence's memory may be made to the Presbyterian Home for CNY. Florence's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Presbyterian Home, especially the Birch Unit, for the care and kindness given to Florence during her stay.
