Emma N. Yerman, 92, of Utica, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008 at Heritage Health Care Center, Utica. Emma was born on March 23, 1915 in Kirkland, the daughter of John and Irene (Wilkinson) Jones. She was raised and educated in Poland, NY. On November 16, 1940, Emma married Kermitt A. Yerman in Prospect, NY. Mr. Yerman passed away in 1989. She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church in Utica. Emma is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kermitt E. and Marie Yerman,with whom Emma resided, of Utica, Gary J. and Geraldine Yerman, of Rome; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Kim and Shawn O'Keefe, Florida, Kris Yerman, Yorkville, Kyle and Sheila Yerman, Frankfort, Kurt and Melissa Yerman, Fort Drum, Kary Yerman, Utica, Kreg Yerman, Utica, Gary G. and Sharon Yerman, New Jersey, and Christine Yerman, Ohio. Also surviving are six great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one sister, Barbara Williams, and four brothers, Lawrence, Floyd, John, and Morris Jones. Emma's Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Kirkland. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Emma's memory. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.
