Elizabeth I. Kloster, 89, of Clinton, passed away peacefully Monday, November 26, 2007 at Faxton ? St. Luke's Healthcare Center after a brief illness. Elizabeth was born December 24, 1917 in Utica, the daughter of Howard J. and Nora (Collins) Closson. She was raised and educated locally. On March 31, 1937, Elizabeth married Edward R. Kloster. Mr. Kloster passed away in 1976. She went to work at General Electric in Utica until her retirement in 1972, at which time she went to Nursing School and became an LPN. She then went to work at Eden Park Nursing Home in Utica until 1976 when she retired to care for her ailing husband. Elizabeth had several little hobbies she enjoyed, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Clinton. Elizabeth is survived by four daughters and a son-in-law, Annita Brown and Chuck, Utica, Carol Auman, Las Vegas, NV, Mary and Michael Stuttard, Clinton, Patricia Gawlik, Clark Mills; two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward J. and Linda Kloster, Whitesboro, John and Stephanie Kloster, Torrington, CT; 23 grandchildren including a special grandson who lived with her, Ronald Kloster and a special granddaughter, Christine Morrock. Also surviving are many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter Jean Kloster, two sisters, Anna Mae Closson and Margaret Ferriter, and a brother, Frank Closson. Mrs. Kloster's funeral will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Clinton where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton, on Thursday from 4 ? 7 pm.
