Mr. Earl (killer) E. Gilbert 57 passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday February 8, 2008. Earl was born in Utica on June 20, 1950 the son of Edward and Helen (Buck) Gilbert and received his education in local schools. For two years, Earl honorably served his country in the United States Navy. On July 11, 1980, Earl married Angela Percacciante. He was a past member of American Legion Utica Post 229, N. Utica, enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and was of the catholic faith. Mr. Gilbert is survived by his beloved wife, Angela; one loving daughter, Sheri Gilbert, Frankfort; his mother, Helen Gilbert, N. Utica; three cherished grandchildren Justin Lyman, Michael Lyman and Kaitlin Giehl; his father-in-law, Larry Percacciante, Sr., NY Mills; three sisters-in-law and their spouses, Cathy and Pat Tarkowski, Yorkville, Sandy Yager and her fiancée Mike Schachtler, Whitesboro and Janet Litz, FL; one brother-in-law and his wife, Larry II and Debbie Percacciante, New Hartford; dear friends, Gene Giehl, and John and Barb Buck and several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his father Edward. Mr. Gilbert's funeral will be held on Sunday February 10, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Interment will be held in Forest Hill cemetery at the convenience of his family. Calling hours for family and friends are Sunday 5:00-8:00 prior to the service.
