David J. Roberts Clinton David J. Roberts, 42, of Clinton, formerly of Whitesboro, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center. David was born May 29, 1964 in Utica, the son of Donald and Nancy (Tavernese) Roberts. He was raised and educated locally, graduating from BOCES. David lived at home until the age of 30, when he moved to live at the DDSO Residence in Marcy. He enjoyed being a mail carrier, delivering at the "Dayhabilitation Center". David was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Whitesboro. David is survived by his father, Donald Roberts, Whitesboro; two sisters, Theresa Carnes, Georgia, Patricia Gehrig, New Hartford; a brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Emily Roberts, Whitesboro; seven nieces and nephews, Danny, Tyler, Andrew, Patrick, Paulina, Jordan, and Valarie; his godparents, Robert and Grace McMahon, Utica; his aunt, Joan Saupp, Rochester; and a family friend, Thomas Gehrig. He is also survived by his family at the DDSO home on Homestead Road in Clinton. David is predeceased by his mother, Nancy Roberts, in 2005. David's funeral will be held on Monday, January 15, 2007 at 11:30 am at St. Paul's Catholic Church where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Visitation will take place at the church immediately following the funeral mass. Interment will then take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitestown. Those wishing may donate to The American Diabetes Association in David's memory.
