Dorothy Cirasuolo, 84, of Yorkville, NY, a current resident of the St. Luke's Home passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Dorothy was born on May 28, 1923 in Chelsea, MA, the daughter of Meddalena and Benedetto Bertolino. She graduated from High School in 1939 and attended Wellsley College in MA. On May 3, 1943 she married the love of her life, Pasquale (Pat) Cirasuolo with whom she shared a blessed union of 50 years before his passing in 1993. Surviving Dorothy are her daughters Dorothy Ouimette and her husband, Bill of Clinton, and Patricia Zima of Whitesboro, her son Donald Cirasuolo and wife Dianne of Hanover, MA and her brother Leonard Bertolino of Winchester, MA. Dorothy was predeceased by her sisters Anne Hogan and Gina Gorman of Medford, MA, her brothers Donald, Nicholas and Thomas Bertolino of the Boston area and her granddaughter Tracey Ouimette. She also leaves her grandchildren Mary and Larry Kinney and Laurie Ouimette of Buffalo, NY, Patty Lynn Bauermeister of Watervliet, NY, Michelle and Dave Bolinski of Floyd, NY, and Jason Zima and Carolynn Day of New York Mills, NY. She was very proud of her great grandchildren, Amber, Matt, Dave, Casey and Audrey. For many years Dorothy owned and operated D&D Ceramics. She enjoyed doing her crossword puzzles, reading, watching movies and bingo. Dorothy was a member of Sacred Heart Church until its closing. The family would like to thank the staff of Clark North and the many friends she made along the way as well as the staff at St. Luke's Healthcare for their compassion and care. Mrs. Cirasuolo's funeral will be held on Saturday February 9, 2008 at 8:45 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 9:30 from Our Lady of The Rosary Church, New Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 2-4 & 7-9. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Heart Association or the Breast Cancer Institute in Dorothy's memory.
