Dorothy Grace Lindsey Utica, NY Mrs. Dorothy Grace Lindsey, 89 a resident of the Masonic Care Community, Utica, formerly of Portland Maine and Winter Park, FL passed away on Saturday October 6, 2007 at the nursing home. Dorothy was born in Birmingham, England on December 22, 1917 the daughter of Joseph and Maud (Hubble) Baker. On March 21, 1938 Dorothy married Ronald Arthur Lindsey in England. The couple came to the United States in 1947 and made their home in Portland, Maine, where Dorothy was employed as assistant manager of the Portland Country Club. After moving to Winter Park, Fl in 1979 she was employed with a Condominium Complex. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, painting artistically and had a love of animals. Dorothy was an active volunteer at the Library and hospital in Winter Park, Fl and was a past member of the Eastern Star. She was of the Episcopal faith. Mrs. Lindsey is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ian and Barbara Lindsey, Clinton; two grand daughters and their husbands, Jessica and Tom VerDow, Jamesville, NY and Jennifer and Randy Lougee, Jamesville, NY; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Mary Baker, Richmond Hill, Canada and a nephew and his wife, David and Isabelle Baker, Canada. Private funeral services are under the direction of Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton, NY.
