Dorothy A. Grant New Hartford Dorothy A. Grant, 89, a resident of the Meadows Apartments, New Hartford, passed away Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Presbyterian Home for CNY. Dorothy was born in Utica on September 12, 1917, the daughter of Thomas B. and Agnes (Quinn) Monaghan. She was raised and educated in Clark Mills, Sauquoit, and Clinton, graduating from Clinton Central High School. On October 30, 1939, Dorothy married Lyle Pryor. She was employed as a secretary for the Town of Webb Health Center in Old Forge, NY. Dorothy is a former member of St. Thomas Church, New Hartford. Dorothy is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Jack Turner, Commerce, Michigan, Sandra and Linden Snyder, Colton, NY, Judith and James Smith, Scotia, NY, Kacey and Mark Schug, Clinton, NY; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Kristen Pryor, Syracuse, NY. Also surviving are several grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A Memorial Mass for Dorothy will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Clinton. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. Those wishing may donate to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society, 5664 Horatio St., Utica, NY 13502 in Dorothy's memory. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Presbyterian Home for CNY, especially the Elm Wing, for the excellent care and many kindnesses shown to Dorothy and her family during her illness.
