Ralph W. Blenis, 86, of The Meadows, New Hartford, passed away March 27, 2007 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Ralph was born in Sidney, NY, January 19, 1921, the son of Waldo and Carrie Blenis. He was raised and educated in Sidney. Ralph was an Army veteran, having served in WWII. On June 26, 1949, Ralph was married to Myrtle Delameter. Mrs. Blenis passed away January 24, 2007. For a number of years, Ralph was employed by the Danella Furriers and Chicago Markets. He most recently retired from the Newman Furs Co. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Ralph enjoyed sewing and doing crafts, and for a number of years was associated with the Boy Scouts of America. Ralph is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Joseph Sansone, Vernon, NY; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Donna Blenis, Clinton, NY; grandchildren, Keith Blenis, Craig and Yvonne Blenis, Jennifer Sansone, Peter Servello, Jr., and Sean Blenis; one great-grandson, Craig Blenis, Jr. He also leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Florence Delameter; and close friends, Lucy and Howard Jones. He will also be missed by his feline pet, Sam. Besides his wife, Myrtle, Ralph was predeceased by a brother, Martin Blenis; and four sisters, Edna, Ella, Lois, and Ada. Mr. Blenis' funeral will be held Thursday evening, March 29, 2007, at 6 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 E. Park Row, Clinton. His burial will take place in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday evening, 4-6 prior to his service.
