Obituary of Bonnie A. Burns

Bonnie A. Yando Burns, 62, of Whitesboro, formerly of Clinton, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center with her family by her side. Bonnie was born July 23, 1945, in Herkimer, the daughter of Harvey M. and Cornelia R. (Pendergast) Yando. She was raised and educated locally and was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1963. She then went on to graduate from Utica School of Commerce. For more than ten years, Bonnie has worked with her brother, Harvey, at McDonald - Yando insurance agency in Yorkville and later the McDonald - Yando and the Bailey, Haskell, & Lalonde insurance agencies in New Hartford. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Clinton. Bonnie had a large family and many friends, but she was always happiest when she was spending time with her grandchildren. Bonnie is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and Todd Beaupre, Reading, MA, Colleen and Mario Perella, Wilmington, MA; one son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Cristina Burns, Whitesboro; four cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Jonathan Perella, Olivia and Matthew Beaupre; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Peter Manna, Whitesboro, Cindy and Rick Heintz, Clinton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Donna Yando, Clinton, Ronald and Connie Yando, Clinton. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Bonnie's funeral will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 9:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Clinton where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton, on Friday, from 4 - 8 pm. Those wishing may donate to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in Bonnie's memory.
