Brian C. Dukette, 75, of the Katherine Luther Home, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016. Brian was born in Utica on February 19, 1941, a son of the late Leo Z. and Veronica M. (Shea) Dukette. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In August of 1968 Brian was united in marriage to Martha Platt. Brian was employed with various manufacturing Industries in the Utica area throughout his life. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro and the Knights of Columbus Council #189. Brian was an avid bowler, a sport in which he excelled and during his career he bowled multiple 300 games. He also enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling. Brian is survived by his wife, Martha, three sisters, Barbara Guerrera and husband, John, of SC, Joan Borgia, of Utica and Nancy Waters and husband, Joel, of FL and many nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Joseph A. Borgia, Sr. Mr. Dukette's funeral will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:30 from St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family would like to thank the staff of the Gordon Unit of the Katherine Luther Home for all the loving care and compassion give to Brian.
