Mrs. Anne Powers Linck, 81 a resident of Eden Park Nursing Home, formerly of Mohawk St. Utica passed away on Thursday January 10, 2008 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford. Anne was born in Rochester, NY on August 29, 1926 the daughter of Edward and Anna (Gillen) Powers. On September 16, 1950, Anne married Alois C. Linck, a union of 33 years until Alois' death in 1983. At one time, Anne was employed with NY Central Railroad and later with the Municipal Housing Authority in Utica until her retirement in October 1995. She was a member of the former Blessed Sacrament Church in Utica, the Alter Rosary Society at Blessed Sacrament and C.S.E.A. Anne's true love and devotion was centered around her family and her dogs. Mrs. Linck is survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia Dunn Powers, Utica and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews including a special niece, Mary Ellen Hotchkiss and her husband Bruce of Bridgeport, NY. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Mary Pat Gorey, Edward J. (Brud) Powers, James F. Powers, Sr. and Margaret (Peggy) Isom. Mrs. Linck's funeral will be held on Saturday January 12, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Utica. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday (today) 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St. Utica. Mrs. Linck's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Naji El Koury and the staff at Eden Park Nursing Home for the loving care and compassion provided to Anne.
