Charlotte S. Vitullo, 73, of Aspen Drive, Utica, passed away unexpectedly April 25, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Charlotte was born July 9, 1932 in Utica, the daughter of Whitney and Rose Bord. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Proctor High School. On October 14, 1954 in Utica, Charlotte was married to Adam F. Vitullo. For a number of years until her retirement she worked as a purchasing agent for the New York Power Authority. Charlotte was a member of St. Peter's Church, North Utica, the Utica Lions Club Auxiliary, and a former member of the Sons of Italy. A fervent fan of the Turning Stone Casino and Resort, Charlotte enjoyed many pleasurable times. She is survived by her husband, Adam; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Theresa Schofer of Rialto, CA, Caroline and Russell Deetz of Sauquoit, NY; a stepsister, Dorothy McDermott; two half brothers, Whitney Bord and Jeffrey Bord; a sister-in-law, Marie Via of Tucson, AZ; five nephews, Russell Deetz Jr. of CT, Bradley and Valerie Deetz of Scotia, NY, Jeffrey Deetz of New Hartford, Allen and Barbara Via of Delmar, NY, and Larry Gobeille; and two nieces, Rosalie Dormio and Beth Pedula. Besides her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by half brother, Howard Bord. Mrs. Vitullo's funeral will be held Saturday, April 29, 2006, at 8:45 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, North Utica, and at St. Peter's Church, North Utica, at 9:30 where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Her burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, N. Utica. Calling hours at the Heintz Funeral Home will be held Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
