Mr. Albert M. Tome, 65 of Whitesboro, NY passed away on Wednesday July 5, 2006 at Rome Hospital. Albert was born in Utica on April 27, 1941 the son of Manuel and Bertha (Ogrodnik) Thomas and received his education in Utica schools. On February 8, 1964 Albert married Kathleen J. Mohr in St. Thomas Church, New Hartford a union of 41 years until Kathleen's death in 2005. Albert was employed with wonder Bread and later as a production foreman with Granny's Kitchen. He was a past member of the Utica Lion's Club and a parishioner of St. Anne's Church, Whitesboro. Mr. Tome is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Deborah Tome and her companion Andrew Czeck, Utica and Denise and Steven Martin, Utica; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Wendy Tome, Rochester; two sisters, Stella Carleo, Rome and Pauline Murray and Art Duvelow, Marcy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Alice Thomas, Garden City, SC and Stanley and Patricia Thomas, Yorkville; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by a sister, Rosie Rewer. Mr. Tome's funeral will be held on Saturday July 8, 2006 at 8:45 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 9:30 at St. Anne's Church where his Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday (today) 4-7 p.m. Those so wishing may consider donation to the American Heart Association in Albert's memory.
