Benjamin (Ben) J. Rotondo Germany Mr. Benjamin (Ben) J. Rotondo, 83 of Bad Kissingen, Germany, formerly of Sauquoit and Alaska passed away on Tuesday October 10, 2006 at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital. Benjamin was born on November 30, 1922 in Simsburry, CT. He came to Sauquoit as a young boy and received his education in Sauquoit schools. After graduation, Ben was stationed in C.C. Camps and later enlisted in the US Army where he served his country honorably during WW II. At one time Ben was married to the former Lillian Miller and is currently married to Annaliese Metz Rotondo. For many years until his retirement he was employed as a carpenter at Griffiss Air Force Base and later with the US government in Alaska. He was a life member of DAV Stars & Strips #82 and was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Faith. Ben earned his pilots license and enjoyed flying and also was an extensive traveler of the world over. Mr. Rotondo is survived by his wife Annaliese; one daughter, Nancy Krantz and her friend Elmer Pond, Redmond, OR; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David and Julie Rotondo, Clinton and Daniel Rotondo, CA; a half sister, Agatha Janes, CT; a dear cousin, Irene Rotondo, CT; beloved grandchildren and their spouses, Steven and Alycia Rotondo, Clinton, Nicholas Rotondo and his friend Ashley, Clinton, Aubrey Krantz and Erica Krantz, both of Oregon, Marc and Maryann Guzik, Alaska, Aaron and Shelly Guzik, Washington State and Sarah and Nathan Griesert, CA; two great grandsons, Brady Guzik and Corey Guzik; A step-son and his wife, Yochoem and Kristen Metz, Germany and 2 step-grandchildren, Liza Metz and Constantine Metz both of Germany. He was predeceased by his parents, a son, Steven Rotondo, a daughter, Gail Fisher and a special cousin who was like a brother, Annio Rotondo. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours for Benjamin on Saturday October 14, 2006 from 12-2 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 10 E. Park Row, Clinton, followed by a prayer service at Crown Hill Memorial Park, Kirkland.
