Paul L. Owens Sr. Utica Paul L. Owens Sr., 67, of Deborah Drive, Utica, passed away at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, October 19, 2006. Paul was born in Utica, NY, September 10, 1939, the son of Earl and Marjorie Jones Owens. He was raised and educated in the Utica School System. In Utica on August 18, 1979, Paul was married to Carolyn Doolen. He was a member of the Utica Church of Christ in N. Utica. For a number of years he was employed at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Linen Service and with Smith Laundry of Utica, retiring after 27 years of service. Paul is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two daughters, Kristine Owens of Waterloo, NY, and Nora and her husband, Dennis Lotoski of Utica; four sons, Paul Jr. and his wife, Lori Owens of Utica, Mark and his wife, Heather Owens of Colorado, Warren Owens and his friend, Michelle, and Derrick Owens of Utica. He also has seven grandchildren, Joseph Maskala, Brandon Owens, Timothy Owens, Tyler Owens, Kevin Owens, Dennis Lotoski Jr. and Alexis Owens. He leaves three brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold and Mary Owens, Aubrey and Janet Owens, Edward and Janet Owens; a sister, Beverly Miller, Whitesboro; and also several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Lowell Owens. Mr. Owens' funeral service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, with the Reverend Robert Shaver of the Church of Christ officiating. His burial at the convenience of his family will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 - 7 pm. Paul's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the ICU at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, especially to Daniel, for all their care and kindness during Paul's stay.
