Anna O'Brien Clinton Miss Anna O'Brien, 98, a resident of the Presbyterian Home, New Hartford, formerly of the Clinton Manor Apts. and Franklin Springs, passed away Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006. Anna was born in Franklin Springs, NY, November 10, 1907, the daughter of Aiden and Winifred Joyce O'Brien. She was raised and educated in Clinton. She was employed for many years at the Waterville Knitting Mill. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Clinton and The Clinton Historical Society, and a former member of St. Mary's Woman's Club. Anna is survived by five nieces, Charlene Groshans, Clinton, Maureen Beidleman, Clinton, Mary Joyce Barron, Oneida, Carol Lynch, Utica, and Therese Church, Schenectady; three nephews, John Joseph O'Brien, Inverness, FL and Dundee, NY, James P. O'Brien, Clinton and William B. O'Brien, Vernon. She also leaves many great-nieces and nephews and many special friends. Anna was predeceased by one sister, Mary E.; six brothers, Jim, Joe, Jack, Bill, Hugh and Francis; five sisters-in-law, Berneece Burke O'Brien, Mary Weimer O'Brien, Ella Mae Bliss O'Brien, Mary Schaffer O'Brien and Elizabeth O'Brien Canfield. Friends are invited to attend Anna's funeral Wednesday, April 19, at 10:00 a.m. from St. Mary's Church, Clinton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Her burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Donations in Anna's memory may be made to The Presbyterian Home or St. Mary's Church. Miss O'Brien's family would like to thank the staff of the Presbyterian Home for all their care and kindness shown to Anna. Arrangements are in care of the Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton.
