Michele Garcia, 57, of the St. Luke's Home passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Michele was born in Utica on October 30, 1957, the daughter of Nancy (Cowburn) Hahn and the late Robert Hahn. For the past 33 years Michele has been married to Candido (Candy) Garcia. For many years she was employed at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. She was a member of the Redeemer Church. Michele was a very social person who loved to talk and visit with people. She derived great joy in spending lots of time with her grandchildren and most of all hearing the word of God. She was also an avid chess player and computer game player. Michele is survived by her husband, Candy, her mother, Nancy Hahn, of Clinton, her children, Jerel Hahn (Diana Garcia), of Utica, Veronica Lilley (Thomas Lilley), of Rome, Candido Garcia, Jr. (Umme Hani), of NYC, grandchildren, Xavier Hahn, of NH, Euriah Hahn, of NH, Avion Hahn, of Utica, Iverson Hahn, of Utica, Alyza Allen, of Utica, Arreona Allen, of Utica, Tiama'ni Shyne, of Rome, India Lockwood, of Rome, Alexiaveliss Ortega of Utica, Maylee Garcia, of NYC and Amara Garcia, of NYC, 2 sisters, Debbie Fite, of Utica and Cindy Hahn, of NH, and a brother, Eddie Hahn, of NH. Michele was predeceased by her father, Robert Hahn, a daughter, Chanel Allen, a son, Alexis Ortega and a sister, Catherine Grimes. Services for Mrs. Garcia will be held from 5-7 on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Flowers or donations may be sent to the funeral home.
