Mrs. Elaine E. (Becker) Francis, 58 of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday May 16, 2006 at her home. Elaine was born in Utica on October 13, 1947 the daughter of George L. and Mary A. (Kot) Becker and received her education in Utica schools. At one time Elaine was married to Robert D. Jones Jr. She was employed with Sauquoit schools and was of the Christian Faith. Elaine enjoyed ceramics, movies, especially home movies, exercising at Planet Fitness and vacationing with her family. She also enjoyed reminiscing about her family through the many photos she kept. Mrs. Francis is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Denise Jones and Steve Marcoccia, Whitesboro, Dawn and John Calabrese, Utica, Connie and Michael Hernando, Holmdel, NJ and Christine and John Dwyer, Rochester; one sister, Mary Boucher, Remsen; nine grandchildren, Jessica Malick, Richard Malick, Jr., Zachery Malick, Gianna Calabrese, John Calabrese, Jr., Ryan Sweezey, Michael Hernando, Jr., Justin Hernando and John Dwyer III; one niece, Joanne Selzer and her husband Uwe; two nephews, Clayton (Sam) Boucher and his wife Ann and Steven Boucher and his wife Lynn and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a nephew, James J. Boucher. Mrs. Francis' funeral will be held on Friday May 19, 2006 at 10:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 11:00 at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church where her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yorkville. Calling hours for family and friends are Thursday (today) 6-8 p.m.
