Edwin J. Brady Clinton Edwin J. Brady, 95, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Ed was born October 27, 1910, in Utica, the son of John T. and Sarah B. (Adams) Brady. He was raised and educated in Utica In 1937, Ed married Ethel Gerling. Ethel passed away in 1979. In 1982, he remarried to Carole Baron Thompson. Ed worked for Credle Equipment Company in Schuyler. He is a former member of the Skenandoa Club, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was one of the original ushers for the Uptown Theater during his youth. Ed belonged to St. Mary's Church, Clinton. Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Carole, Clinton; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Nancy and Peter Strohecker, Colorado, Gail Ray, Wappingers Falls, NY, Jean and Lynn Abshire, California, Sandra and John Clair, New Hartford; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen and Christine Brady, Wappingers Falls, NY, Thomas Brady, Pennsylvania; a stepson and his fiancee, Lucian Thompson and Christine Spano, Sauquoit; three stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Carole Ann and Conrad Byrne, Clark Mills, Pamela and Edward Brown, Theresa, NY, Susan and Thomas Kirkwood, Syracuse, NY. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. Ed is predeceased by a daughter, Mary Pat Riley, a sister, Florence McGarrity, and a brother, Lawrence Brady. A Memorial Mass for Mr. Brady will be held on Monday, May 22, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton. Interment will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Those wishing may donate to COCVAC in Ed's memory. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton.
