Barbara C. David New Hartford Mrs. Barbara C. David, 71 of New Hartford passed away December 5, 2006 at her home with her loving family by her side. Barbara was born in Utica, NY on October 18, 1935 the daughter of the late Elmer and Dorothy Steffen Lamont. Barbara married George H. David on May 1, 1953. Sadly, George passed away in 1999. For several years Barbara worked at Utica Box. She later worked for Mrs. Yager at Twin Orchards and most recently for several years at Kleins All-Sports. Barbara was a devoted wife and a loving mother who would do anything for her children. She was the kindest and most giving person to all who knew her. Mrs. David is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Cynthia and Edward Decker, Patricia Kantor and Lori Williams; four sons and daughters-in-law, George and Cheryl David, Gary and Tammy David, Tim and Kit David and Tom and Diane David; 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins in Lockport, NY, two brothers-in-law, Les Jones and Lou Krupa and two special friends, Helen Jeffers, Fl and Jane Piechowicz, Marcy. She was predeceased by a sister Doris Krupa. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the following: Dave and Nancy Clark for all their help through the years, Dr. Kevin G. Nelsen and Dr. Dilip Kachare for the kindness and care and Faxton-St. Luke's 4th floor nursing staff for their patience and care. A special thanks to Hospice for the loving care and compassion. Special thanks to Les and Laura Jones and the entire Jones family for making Barbara and George feel right at home in Virginia. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday December 8, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. A prayer service will be offered at 8:00 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. A spring interment will take place in Glenside Cemetery, NY Mills, NY.
