Beatrice L. VanHatten Marcy Beatrice "Betty" L. VanHatten, 80, a resident of the Presbyterian Home, formerly of Marcy, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the home. Betty was born in Utica on August 23, 1925, the daughter of Charles L. and Anna (Liebel) VanHatten. She was raised and educated locally, graduating from Whitesboro High School in 1943. She was employed by Travelers Insurance Co., and later for Fleet Bank as a trust officer, retiring in 1990. Betty was a member of the Marcy and Floyd Senior Centers and formerly belonged to a ski club. She was a member of St. Joseph & St. Patrick's Church, Utica Betty is survived by to sisters, Eleanor VanHatten and Doris VanHatten, both of Marcy, as well as by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great, great nieces and great, great nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, Robert VanHatten, Joseph VanHatten, Mary Deering, and Helen Strife. Betty's funeral will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 10:15 am from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, N. Utica and at 11:00 am at St. Joseph & St. Patrick's Church, Utica where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Whitestown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 ? 7 pm. Those wishing may donate to St. Joseph & St. Patrick's Church or to the Presbyterian Home for CNY in Betty's memory.
