A. Viola C. Eaton Waterville ? Clinton Viola Crumb Eaton, 95, a resident of Harding Nursing Home, Waterville, formerly of Clinton and Westmoreland, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the home. Viola was born in Westmoreland on February 15, 1911, the daughter of Frank E. and Margaret (Carroll) Crumb. She was raised and educated in Westmoreland and went on to graduate from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1931, and then attended the Catholic University in Washington for one year. Viola worked as an RN for Griffiss Air Force Base for 15 years. On October 9, 1954, she married Robert B. Eaton, at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills. Mr. Eaton passed away in 1999. Viola went on to work as a LPN Instructor for St. Elizabeth Hospital for over 30 years until her retirement in 1976. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Alumni Association and of the Alter Rosary Society. Viola is survived by 10 nieces and nephews, Mary Lou Friers, Oriskany Falls, Francis Crumb, Holland Patent, Thomas Crumb, Clark Mills, William Crumb, Colorado, Dr. Donald Crumb, Camillus, Beverly Colicci, Syracuse, Christine Barnes, Vernon, Joan Dougall, Evans Mills, Richard Crumb, Spencerport, and David Crumb, Michigan. Also surviving are many great nieces and great nephews as well as several great, great nieces and great, great nephews. Viola is predeceased by three brothers and a sister, Raymond Crumb, Rita Crumb, Bernard Crumb, and William Howard Crumb. Mrs. Eaton's funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 9:15 am from the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton, and 10:00 am at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 ? 7 pm.
