Clarise F. Zygmunt, 82, of Clinton, formerly of Sauquoit, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Faxton-St-Luke's Healthcare Center, New Hartford. Clarise was born November 16, 1933, in Sauquoit, the daughter of Sebastian and Jady Zygmunt. She was raised and educated in Sauquoit. Clarise had been employed with the Lutheran Homes in Clinton, and then later with the Holiday Inn in New Hartford. She was a member of the Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills. Clarise loved the outdoors, enjoying gardening and animals. She especially loved her family; Clarise and her sister Dolores were inseparable, where you found one, the other was close by. Clarise was one of the strongest people with the biggest heart who always thought of others before herself. Clarise is survived by two sisters, Dolores Usyk, Clinton, Marion Postma, Syracuse. She was a special aunt and second mother to Andy, Cindy, Ray, Doug, Matt, and Sue. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is predeceased by five sisters and four brothers. Clarise's funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 12:00 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Interment will follow in West Schuyler Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home, Saturday morning, from 10 - 12, prior to the service.
