Gifford W. Loomis, Jr., 81, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Presbyterian Home in New Hartford surrounded by his loving family.

     Gifford was born in Little Falls on Novemeber 1, 1937 a son of Gifford W. and Mary (Spacapan) Loomis, Sr. He served his country proudly in the Navy from 1955 -1957.  At St. Agnes Church, Utica on June 6, 1959 Gifford was united in marriage to Margaret Barcomb.  For many years he was employed with Chicago Markets in Utica and then with Disney World in Florida.  He was a member of the American Legion, New Hartford.

     Gifford is survived by his wife, Margaret, two daughters, Christine Downs and husband, Steven of Clark Mills, and Kathleen  Gotte of Utica, a grandson, Justin Loomis of Utica, and a sister, Sharon Delduca of Utica.

     Gifford was predeceased by 3 grandsons, Gregory Loomis, Daniel Gotte and John Gotte, a sister, Jean Darvoe, and in-laws, Ronald and Barbara Barcomb and Jeffrey Barcomb.

     Calling hours for Gifford will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 4-6 with a service with Military Honors to be held at 6:00.
