Jessie A (Shea) Vega, 92, of Utica, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center, New Hartford. Jessie was born in September 2, 1923 in Utica, the daughter of Matthew and Margaret (Olive) Shea. She received her business degree from Excelsior Business School and was employed with Utica Psychiatric Center. She was personal secretary to Mr. Heath and Mr. Rettig. For many years, Jessie was the organist for St. Joseph & St. Patrick’s Church in Utica. Jessie is survived by her son, Eric Vega, Utica. Ms. Vega’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph & St. Patrick’s Church, Utica where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, Tuesday evening, from 5 – 7 pm.
