Obituary of Cleastore E. Jefferson

On Wednesday July 20, 2020 Cleastore “Cleo” Edward Jefferson at the age of 42 passed away unexpectedly at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica, N.Y. His family was at his bedside. Cle o (as called by all) was born December 8, 1977 in Utica, N.Y. He is the son of Sidney Jefferson and Norine Fields. Cleo was pre deceased in death by his uncle Edward Wood and nephew Joseph Mat thews of Canastota, NY, uncle Willie “Germ” Williams and aunt Jacqueline Hines of Utica, N.Y. He attended Thomas R. Proctor High School in Utica, N.Y. His Passion was Art and he was awarded a scholarship to Munson Williams Art Institute. Cleo worked various jobs in the Customer Service industry. He loved the lifestyle of being a freelancer and in his own making he enjoyed being a hairstylist too. Cutting, coloring, braiding and hair weaving was his one of a kind specialty. Swimming, along with spending time with his family was very important to him and he enjoyed it to the fullest. Cleo is survived by his loving mother Norine Fields and father Sidney Jefferson, Canastota, NY, brother; Cory Wood, sisters Shania Wood, Canastota, NY, Regina Jefferson, Sabrina Scott, Utica, NY, aunts Elizabeth Backus, Melinda Parmeter, Jody May Dickenson, Canastota, NY, Francis Williams, Utica, NY, uncles, Jim Backus, Canastota, NY, Herman Jefferson, Willie “Alex” Jefferson, Johnny “Mark” Williams, Kevin Jefferson, Utica, NY, nephews Jayden Bell, Charles Thompson Jr., Robert Thompson, Dequan Jefferson Utica, NY, “Special Little Cousins ” Paul Matthews and Chyanne Parmeter, Canastota, NY. He leaves behind a host of relatives, extended family members and dear best friends Milo DuVaul, Utica, NY, Edward Howard, Corpus Christi, TX, and Kym Holland Felton, who Cleo called Sis.
