Father Dellos always made time for all his parishioners. He went out of his way to learn a little about our lives. He spoke so fondly of his immediate family. It is amazing the impact that one man or woman can have upon another persons life. He certainly left a wonderful legacy of selfless service to others.

The most fun and wonderful priest that I had the honor and pleasure of knowing in my high school years. He made CYO fun. I also had the pleasure of running into him at Tioga downs a few times when I worked there. My parents adored him also he would visit them when he was at St Mary’s. Sending my condolences to the family

We have lost a wonderful man. Having been a daily mass attendee at St. Joseph & St. Patrick for many years, it will be hard to imagine daily masses there without him. Father Dellos was a spiritual man and his parish had so many religious events going on all the time, more than any church I have ever known. Under his pastorship, it seemed as if something was going on at SJSP 24/7. He also had a humorous side which he revealed through his sermons and at many of the church activities. Having been at SJSP for so many years, I am sure he will be missed not only by me, but by so many others. May he rest in peace.

When I told Father we joined the parish he gave me a big welcome hug and said “praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.” Little did we know the ammunition was our spiritual growth. He offered many spiritual/consecration courses to Mary and the Holy Spirit. He started a Divine Mercy group and each year held a grand Divine Mercy Sunday. He individually baptized all he instructed about the Holy Spirit. Every so often he anointed the congregation with blessed oil as we exited mass. He is one Shepherd who will be sorely missed by his flock. We will remember all you taught us, band together and carry on your work. Rest In Peace our friend until we meet again.
