Mr. Daniel Norman Vannort, Sr., 68, of Utica, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare. Daniel was born in Utica, on October 7, 1951, the son of William Russell and Norma (Stenski) Vannort, and received his education in Utica Schools. Daniel served in the US Army. At one time, he was employed with Lolly Manufacturing in Utica, later with Mutchler Chem Dry in Herkimer and most recently with Perfex Corporation in Poland, NY. Daniel enjoyed cards, pool, coin master and going to the casino. Mr. Vannort is survived by one son, Daniel Norman Vannort, Jr.; four daughters, Cheri Vannort, Haley Vannort, Jessica Vannort and Julie Landers; cherished grandchildren, Katelyn, April, Kristopher, Korryn, Roger, Zachary, Seth, Alissa, Ian, Wyatt, Mason, Sabrina, and Katie; two sisters, Jackie Vannort and Penny Godden; a close lifelong friend, Johnny, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Tim and William Vannort. In keeping with Daniel’s wishes, services are private. For further information feel free to contact a family member.
