Mr. Clyde V. Johnson, Jr., 94, of Whitesboro, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford. Clyde was born in Parkersburg, WV, on June 18, 1926, the son of Clyde V. and Claudia (Buck) Johnson. Clyde honorably served in the US Navy during WW II. For many years he was employed as senior electronics engineer with Goodyear Aerospace in Akron, OH. Clyde enjoyed gardening, carpentry and playing the guitar and will be remembered for his strong belief in Jesus Christ. Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Marla and Robert Jeffery of Stillwater, NY; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Clyde Allan Johnson of Saratoga Springs, NY and Eric and Kelly Johnson of Greenwich, NY; five grandchildren, Sheri Sandoval, Shawn Hackman and his wife Kristina, Erica Johnson, Kayla Johnson and Michael Johnson; three great grandchildren, Phinn, Paige and Henry and three nieces, Leigh, Lynn and Laurel. He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Bessie Lawler, great granddaughter, Annabelle, sister, Kay Dickson and brother and sister-in-law, merlin and Carol Johnson. Mr. Johnson’s funeral was held privately at the convenience of his family.
