Elaine L. Marchione, 73, of Holland Patent, passed away at home on Thursday, October 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer. Elaine was born in Utica on August 30, 1947 a daughter of the late William J. and Alice (Freel) Lockwood. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On July 22, 1966 Elaine was united in marriage to James S. Marchione, Sr., a blessed union of 50 years until his death on April 6, 2016. For several years she was employed with Metlife. Elaine is survived by her two children, James S. Marchione, Jr., Holland Patent and Tamara (James) Marchione-Smith, Holland Patent, 8 beloved grandchildren, Frederick (Alicia) Wiater, Jessica Marchione, Tylor Wiater, Jody Marchione, Joshua (Danielle) Marchione, Makayla Wiater, Gabriellia Smith, and Maxwell Smith, 5 great grandchildren, Emery, Ryker, Arianna, Jackson and Brayden and her canine companion, Peaches. Elaine was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Williams. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Alicia Detraglia, Dr. Laura Sermon and the staff of Hospice for all the loving care given to Elaine.
