Mrs. Caroline M. (Cognetti) Finnefrock, 79, of N. Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford, with her loving family by her side. Caroline was born in Utica, on October 19, 1941, the daughter of Alfred and Mary (Muto) Cognetti. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Proctor High School. On August 31, 1963, Caroline was united in marriage with Anthony M. Finnefrock, a devoted union of 49 years, until Tony’s death in 2012. For many years, until her retirement, Caroline was employed with Mohawk Valley Community College. She enjoyed golf, playing cards, and trips to various casinos. She was of the Catholic Faith. Mrs. Finnefrock is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Gina Finnefrock of N. Utica; grandson, Ryan Jones of Wisconsin; sister and brother-in-law, Rose Ann and Robert Moyer of New Hartford; brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Madelyn Cognetti of Fl; her Godmother, Sara Topi of Utica, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends to numerous to mention. Besides her husband, Tony, she was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Mary. Visitation for family and friends is Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation.
