Mrs. Roseann Cowley, 70, of Utica, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford. Roseann was born in Utica on January 22, 1950, the daughter of Michael and Rose (Zampa) Bumbolo and received her education in Utica schools. On October 22, 1968, Roseann was united in marriage with Lansing W. Cowley, III, a devoted union of 51 years, until Lansing’s death in 2019. Roseann loved watching TV, especially Western movies and she was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Cowley is survived by five daughters and three sons-in-law, Tina Hernandez, Marcia and Donald Postal, Tracy and Felix Rodriguez, Joanne Cowley and Donald Fredenburg and Sandy and Gene Zagorski all of Utica; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Lansing “Tiny” W. Cowley IV and Blythe Linebeck and Mikey Cowley all of Utica; three brothers and two sisters, Richard Bumbolo Joey and Karen Bumbolo, Carmella Bumbolo and Kathy Bumbolo and Mo Garcia all of Utica and Grant Bumbolo of FL, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three grandchildren, DeeJay Fredenburg, Jr., Cindy Golden and Andrew Cowley, one sister, Mary Bumbolo and two brothers, Mike Bumbolo and Anthony Bumbolo. Visitation for family and friends is Monday, January 18, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Face coverings must be worn, and social distancing and contract tracing protocols must be observed.
