Our beloved mother and grandma, Lois J. Houghton, 72, of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Sunday January 10th, 2021 at The Grand nursing home in Utica. Lois was born in Utica, on March 12, 1948, the daughter of the late Michael and Mabel (Sumner) Falzarano. She was raised and educated in Utica. Lois was united in marriage to Harry Houghton Jr. on July 15, 1967. Harry and Lois shared a loving union of 34 years until his passing in 2001. At one time, Lois was employed by the Utica Police department as a crossing guard. Lois is survived by her three children, Bonnie (Salvatore) Logalbo, Harry (Susan) Houghton 3rd. and Larry (Eve) Houghton.; 6 grandchildren, Nicole (Sam) Richards, Bianca Logalbo, Michael Spears, Harry Houghton 4th, Amanda Houghton and Daniel Houghton; 1 great grandson, William Richards; 1 sister, Michaelina Vargas. She also leaves behind a special friend and longtime neighbor Patty Logalbo. Lois was predeceased by her sister Gail Falzarno and infant brother Michael Anthony Falzarano. Lois was a kind and caring person who was loved by all. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Due to Covid-19 Virus, no visitation or funeral services will be scheduled. A memorial Celebration of Lois’s Life will be held at a later date.
