I never had the privilege of meeting Celeste in person, but I was able to catch a glimpse of her sunny spirit during a videoconferencing session last summer. However, I feel as if I know her through the spirit of her daughter, Yvonne. Yvonne's dedication to the children in her care as well as to her colleagues is remarkable. She has influenced the lives of so many. In her, Celeste's legacy will live on.

Dear Yvonne, Carolyn, John, Johanna, Mary and Skip,
I wrap my arms around you from afar as you lay your mom to rest in her hometown, Utica. I was so lucky to visit Utica 2 year ago where I could sit on her front porch, watch Tigger and eat delicious pastries from Utica and drink coffee. Your mom/grandma was always up for an adventure like the picture below where she went to New York City to see to see Hamilton. I will miss her cards that always made me laugh and her kind and gentle spirit. I am so grateful that you all were with her sending her off to be with Johnny and John. We are so shocked and sorry to hear of Celestes passing. She was such a sweet lady and we will miss seeing her when we walk our dog. We always enjoyed stopping and visiting with her. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
