Obituary of Sandra W. Kehrli

Mrs. Sandra W. Kehrli, 82, of Yorkville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford.
Sandra was born in Utica, on July 21, 1938, the daughter of Wallace and Greta (Schuttenhelm) Walter. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On August 1, 1959, Sandra was united in marriage with Richard G. Kehrli at Sacred Heart Church in Utica, a loving union of 60 years, until Richard’s death in 2019. At one time, Sandra was employed with FX Matt Brewery, later with Tiffany’s Bakery in Riverside Mall in Utica and retired from General Electric/Martin Marietta in Utica. Sandra enjoyed crafts, making Swiss crochet blankets, was a golf enthusiast and a devout parishioner of Our Lady of The Rosary Church in New Hartford. She will most be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed attending and cheering on her cherished grandchildren in all their various activities.
Mrs. Kehrli is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark Kehrli of Washington, DC and Paul and Joyce Kehrli of New Hartford; seven cherished grandchildren who affectionately called her Nanny; Anne, Maria, Joseph, Michael, Jake and his fiancée Kate, Benny and MaryGrace; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Alice Walter of N. Utica; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Richard Miskowiec of N. Utica; dear friends, Bea Nunno, Shelly Evans, Carol Cahill, Dick Rondinelli and Carolyn Baron, as well as her special group of Church friends and several nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Wallace and Greta; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Dorothy Kehrli, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jane and Jim DeBlois, William and Dorothy Kehrli and Jack Kehrli and dear friends, Nancy Rondinelli and Gino Nunno.
Mrs. Kehrli’s funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Rosary Church, Burrstone Rd., New Hartford. Her Rite of Committal and burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Our lady of The Rosary Church, 1736 Burrstone Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413 in Sandra’s memory.
Mrs. Kehrli’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her wonderful neighbors, Roger and Mary and the Asselta family, for the many years of friendship, and loving care you provided to Sandra and Richard over the years.
