Obituary of Karl P. Warren

Mr. Karl P. Warren, 77, of Schuyler, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. Karl was born in Utica, on July 19, 1943, the son of Robert and Agnes (Hines) Warren and received his education in Utica Schools. Karl proudly served in the US Navy from 1962 until his honorable discharge in 1968. On August 31, 1991, Karl was united in marriage with Kathleen “Kathy” Jean Jones at Ave Methodist Church, a loving and devoted union of 29 years, until Kathy’s death on August 15, 2020. For many years, he was employed with Rome Cable and later with Pugliese Pest Control in Utica. Karl enjoyed camping, square dancing and was an active member of West Schuyler United Methodist Church. Mr. Warren is survived by his sister, Dorothy Hale of Sherrill, NY; nieces and nephews, Robert and Jaqueline Kawa of New Berlin, NY, David Kawa and Donna of WI and Deborah and Michael Obernesser of Westmoreland, NY; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger Lewis and Kathy Jones of WI, Russell John and Carol Anne Jones of MD and Timothy J. and Linda Jones of Ilion, as well as several additional nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, John Hale. Due to the COVID Virus, a service to celebrate Karl’s life will be held at a later date, when safer health circumstances permit. He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife in West Schuyler Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in Karl’s memory, please consider the ALS Foundation.
