Mrs. Betty A. Wagar, age 79, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021. Betty was born in Turin, NY on July 2, 1941, the daughter of the Late Arthur Yost and the late Helen (Messenger) Rhone. Betty had a positive sprit that brought so much joy to all those who loved her. She didn’t need much to make her laugh and smile. She saw the sunnier side of life and made friends wherever she went. Those lucky enough to know Betty, cherished her warm heart. She will be sadly missed, but her spirit will remain forever in our hearts. Mrs. Wagar is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Robert; two children, William Rushford and his wife Edith of Irvington, NY and Terri Pecorello and her husband Eddie of Utica; two sisters, Beverly Britt and her husband Robert of Camden and Pat Wilson and her husband Ken of Chateaugay, NY; two brothers, Ken Rhone and his wife Mary of Boonville and William Rhone of South Glens Falls, NY and a sister-in-law, Alice Rhone of Anacortes, WA; She will be lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Patrick and Natalie Rushford, as well as many nieces, nephews and very close friends and her Shih Tzu, Bella. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, George Rhone, brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Frances Yost and brother, Joseph Rhone.
