David R. Manore, 76, of North Utica passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Abraham House. David was born in Utica on March 5, 1945, a son of the late Howard and Betty (Rowlands) Manore. He was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of SUNY IT. David served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. In Derry, Northern Ireland, on August 27, 1968, David was united in marriage to Frances Melaugh, a blessed union of 40 years until her death in 2008. For many years until his retirement David was employed with the FAA at the Albany Airport. He was a member of the VFW Post #6001, Yorkville, NY and throughout his life was active with the Boy Scouts of America, Leatherstocking Council. David is survived by his two sons, David R. (Ann) Manore, New Hartford and Shaun Paul (Rebecca) Manore, Clifton Park, NY; three grandchildren, Alexis Manore, Zachary Manore and Sara Manore; a sister, Grace Welpe, Clinton and a brother, Paul Manore, NJ. Calling hours for Mr. Manore will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5-7 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Masks must be worn, contact tracing and social distancing will be implemented. Burial will take place at the Saratoga National Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to the Boy Scouts Leatherstocking Council, VFW Post 6001 or the Abraham House of Rome in David’s memory.
