Joan M. Love, 81, of North Utica passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Abraham House in Utica. Joan was born in Utica on September 11, 1939, a daughter of Charles Clifford and Mary Alice (Laclaire) Monaghan. At St. Francis de Sales Church, Utica on October 7, 1961, Joan was united in marriage to Francis W. Love, Jr., a blessed union of 20 years until his death in 1981. Joan started her career working for the Prudential Insurance Co. She went on to work at McCrory Stores and then until her retirement at Sears Roebuck and Co. She was a parishioner of St. Mark’s Church, North Utica. Joan is survived by her two children, Kathleen (Samuel) Arcuri, Deerfield and Kenneth M. (Tammy) Love, N. Utica; three grandchildren, Amanda Arcuri, Marcy, Samuel (Nicole) Arcuri III, Deerfield, and Kimberly (John) Love Intino, Liverpool, NY; two great grandchildren, Lucas and Nathan Arcuri and one expected in a month, Alice Marie Intino; two brothers, Charles (Gloria) Monaghan, Marcy and Edward (Lindy) Monaghan, Oriskany. Mrs. Love’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 11:00 at St. Mark’s Church, North Utica. All COVID protocols must be followed. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Those so wishing may make donations to the Abraham House in Joan’s memory.
