Alice-Arden Duquette Matthews passed away on Sunday April 11th 2021 at the McHarrie Life Senior Community in Baldwinsville, NY. Alice was born May 21st 1928 and raised in Plattsburgh NY to William Duquette and Ruth E. Tindal Duquette, and an elder sister to the late Raymond E. Duquette. She was a graduate of Plattsburg High School where she met and married her late husband Donald Roger Matthews, also of Plattsburg, September 30th 1949. The Matthews were devout members of the First Baptist Church of North Utica since 1950’s; choir members, and active community members. Throughout life Alice enjoyed traveling, symphonies, and time spent at the summer cottage with friends and family on Oneida Lake. Alice is survived by a beautiful and successful family: her two daughters and two son-in-laws Carol A. and Michael White of Clay, and Mary A. and Terence McCoy of Liverpool; her grandchildren Jason M. Fleming, Bradley T. Fleming, Amanda M. McCoy; and Great-Grand Children Cassidy E. Fleming, Caleigh A. Fleming, Esther B. Fleming, and Ian B. Fleming. There will be a grave side service at the Carr Cemetery in Marcy, NY at 11:00 am on Thursday April 15th 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
