Geraldine (Jerrie) Scanlon, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born December 30, 1940 to Thelma Richardson and Lawrence Scanlon. She attended Mohawk Schools, graduating in 1959, before proudly serving her country during the Vietnam Wa,r state side, as a Psych Tech in the US Air Force until 1964. Jerrie was a PUFL member of the North Utica American Legion Post 229, where she was a past member of the color guard. She retired in 2008 from the NY Sate Canal Corporation.
Jerrie will be dearly missed by her loving family, her best friends from camp, her traveling companion and her feline, Smokey. She predeceased her best friend Joan Beauchamp Morgan.
Please join us to celebrate Jerrie and Joannie’s lives on May 8th at 1:00 p.m. the North Utica American Legion on Herkimer Rd., following the burial of Joannie at 11:00 a.m.
