Jon "Jack" L. Sansone, 64, of Clinton, passed away unexpectedly June 14,2016 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with his loving family at his side. Jack was born in Utica, NY on July 18, 1951 the son of Michael and Jennie (Mallozzi) Sansone. He was raised and educated in the Utica school system and later attended college in Glens Falls, N.Y. His career started in the commercial painting business. He was the owner-operator of Davinci Painters for a number of years. He later began his Contracting Company- JLS, which is still in existence today. Jack was a devoted Catholic, always looking for a mass on Saturday evening. Jack led a charmed life. He was a phenomenal cook, who loved to feed the crowd. Jack was a "Great Friend To All". His uncle Al, would referred to Jack, as the man with the "Golden Hands". He will be missed by many. Jack is survived by his loving Honey and best friend, Robin Sortino; his daughter and son in law, Kate Maunz and Pete Hawkins of Albany, his two grandchildren, Sophia and Dorje; one uncle, Albert Mallozzi of Utica, who Jack treated more like a father; several cousins, Joseph Sansone, Leonard Mallozzi, David and Dana Mallozzi, John Mallozzi, Paul and Fran Raymond, Mary Jane Evers, Gerry Geroux, Bob and Carol Geroux , and Val Zammiello; one niece, Janene Tirado; also surviving are Robin's sons, Rob (Corrine) and Nate (Nicole) Sortino and Robin's grandchild, Derek. Besides his mother and father, Jennie and Michael, Jack was predeceased by his brother, Michael in1991,and his cousins, Patty, Gerald, and Mark Mallozzi. Jack's Funeral will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Burrstone Rd. New Hartford, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. His Rite of burial, will be at Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of his family. Calling hours will be held Monday evening, June 20, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 E.Park Row, Clinton. Donations, in lieu of flowers, would be appreciated to Spring Farm Cares, Clinton, NY in Jack's memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
