Mrs. Graceanne Manore-Welpe, 78, passed away at the Lutheran Home in Clinton on Wednesday morning, May 12, 2021, with the love and support of her family. Graceanne was born in Utica, on March 4, 1943, the daughter of the late Howard and Betty (Rowlands) Manore and was a graduate of TR Proctor High School. In August of 1984, Graceanne married Gerald Welpe. Grace was a loving and devoted woman who always looked out for the well-being of others. She worked at Chicago Market in North Utica for many years, bringing smiles to everyone she encountered. Later on, she worked at St. Luke’s Nursing Home as a hairstylist for the residents. The true joy of her life was her family. She was a deeply devoted mother and grandmother. The love she felt for her family was unmistakable, and those who had the honor to be loved by her were truly blessed. Mrs. Welpe is survived by her three loving sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond Oliver and Kim Moore of Clay, NY, Donald and Grace Oliver of New Hartford and David and Josie Oliver of Holland Patent; her five adored grandchildren, Stacey Oliver, Stephen Oliver, Hayley Oliver, Taylor Oliver and Madison Oliver; her supportive brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Sandy Manore of Bedminster, NJ, several nephews; and her step-children, Heather, Scott and Dawn Welpe. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, David and Frances Manore, her infant daughter, Renee’ Oliver and husband Gerald Welpe. Graceanne was a soul unlike any other, a truly remarkable woman who strived to bring joy and peace to those around her. She will be truly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. We will see you somewhere over the rainbow, we love you. Mrs. Welpe’s funeral will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo’s & St. Ann’s Church, 7939 Elm St., Holland Patent, NY, where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Her Rite of Committal and burial will be in Fairchild Cemetery in Remsen, NY.
