Mr. William E. Kinne, 78, of Utica, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Health in New Hartford. William was born in Utica, on July 11, 1942, the son of Miller and Dorothy (Davidson) Kinne. He was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On February 8, 1964, William was united in marriage with Barbara Malone, a devoted union of 54 years, until Barbara’s death in 2018. For many years, William was employed with Temple Inland Company in Utica. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and was a Texas Holdem enthusiast. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Kinne is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Mina Kinne of Idaho, Todd and Melissa Kinne of Litchfield, NY and Chad and Amy Kinne of N. Utica; one daughter, Nicole Kinne of Utica; eight cherished grandchildren, Courtney Kinne, Conor Kinne, Sabrenia Kinne and her fiancee, DeVante McNair, Samanthia and Stephen DiNigro, Jr., Daniel Potter, Sean Kinne, Billy Kinne and Adam Kinne; three adored great grandchildren, Stephen DiNigro, III, Jerry McNair and Eli McNair; one sister-in-law, Mary Kinne of Utica; dear lifelong friends, Pat and Denny Riser of Utica, as well as several nieces, nephews and his many friends at the poker tournaments. He was predeceased by his son, Sean Kinne, daughter, Heidi Kinne and brother, Lawrence Kinne. Visitation form family and friends is Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a service at 7:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation.
