Mrs. Helen H. Cooley, 104, of New Hartford, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital in New Hartford, with her loving family by her side.
Helen was born in Utica, on December 26, 1916, the daughter of Jacob and Emma (Shuemaker) Heneka, and received her education in Utica Schools. On November 11, 1950, Helen was united in marriage with G. William Cooley, a loving and devoted union of 70 years, until Bill’s recent death on April 10, 2021.
Mrs. Cooley is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, George Cooley of Rochester, NY, Robert and Renee Cooley of New Hartford and David and Brenda Cooley of Bloomfield, NY; three cherished grandchildren, Scott Cooley, Katie and Eric Rast and Megan and Will Lawrence; three adored great grandchildren, Hayden, Charlotte and Adeline Pearl; one niece, Betty Beerhalter and two great nieces, Karen and Cindy. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marion Weeks and Mildred MacArthur and one brother, Frederick Heneka.
A private funeral and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., Utica.
