Mr. Kenneth W. Rinehard, 70, of Oneida, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Mercy House in Vestal, NY with his loving companion Beverly and son Adam by his side. Kenneth was born in Utica, on July 31, 1950, the son of Jack Albert and Alice Mary (Roberts) Rinehard, and received his education in Whitesboro schools. Kenneth proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. For many years, he was employed with DFAS (Defense Finance and Accounting Service) in Rome, NY. He was of the Protestant faith. Mr. Rinehard is survived by his loving companion and care giver, Beverly Poccia of Vestal, NY; one daughter, Kristy Anzara of Idaho; two sons, Jeffrey Rinehard of MD and Adam Rinehard of Frankfort; five cherished grandchildren, Brody Rinehard, Lily Rinehard, Abby Rinehard, Nikki Anzara and Kylie Anzara; one great grandson, Braeden Pickett; two sisters, Kathy Rinehard-Morin of CT and Karen Juliano of Holland Patent; three brothers, Tim Rinehard of AL, Michael Rinehard of Marcy and David Rinehard of Rome; Beverly’s son and daughter-in-law, Antonio and Lauren Poccia of Apalachin, NY and their son, Antonio “Buddy Boy” Poccia III, who Kenneth loved like a grandson, enjoying many precious moments. Visitation for family and friends is Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at the conclusion of visitation. His burial, with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Utica.
