Obituary of Anne Elizabeth Hameline
Please share a memory of Anne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mrs. Anne Elizabeth Hameline, 86, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2021
Anne’s first career was with General Electric as a contract administrator, and she also enjoyed a 30-year career in real estate, starting with Campion Weeks.
Her favorite pastime was working outdoors. In the summers, you could always find her tending her beautiful gardens and lawn. She loved dogs, knitting baby sweaters and bonnets, watching game shows, playing scrabble, Michigan rummy and guts card games, planning the yearly Kentucky Derby pool and buying and beautifully wrapping Christmas presents for her family. She also loved her yearly trip to Saratoga with her siblings, mom, and aunts.
Anne’s greatest joy was her family. She loved having cook-outs and hosting Christmas Eve dinner. She treasured her two daughters and son, and her grandchildren were the lights of her life. Some of her entire family’s best memories are of yearly vacations spent at camp on 4th Lake. Her moto at camp was always, “the more the merrier,” often cooking nightly dinners for 25 or more. She became known for her prize-winning lasagna, burnt garlic bread, and Grammy Jam. Her kitchen table was always filled with laughter, love, sandwiches and chips for all, especially her grandson Josh who was a frequent lunch visitor.
She was also a kind and giving sister who was cherished by her 3 siblings, MaryLou, Jim. and Kathy. They all shared an unbreakable bond and a deep love and devotion for each other that was remarkable to witness.
Anne is survived by her loving husband, James; her children, Julie and Mike Williamson of Whitesboro, James Hameline and April Paschke of NY Mills and Jodie and John Huber of NJ: her cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Matt, and Nick Del Buono, Mike Williamson, Jr., Cody and Joshua Hameline and Zach and Luke Huber; her brother, James Vedete and wife Carmel; sister, Kathy Belluccio and husband Michael; niece, Kelly Dusharm and several nieces and nephews she loved and dearh neighbors, Sylvia Amoroso and her sister, Marie. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Lou Brown and her niece, MaryBeth Gronau, whose memory was always close to her heart.
Anne’s favorite sayings were, “it’s the best thing I ever had” and “I’m so lucky”. To her grandchildren it was “footloose and fancy free” and “they’d by lucky to have you”. She made everyone’s life better just by knowing her.
