Mrs. Beverly M. McDougall, 89, a lifelong resident of West Utica, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford. Beverly was born in Utica, on December 2, 1931, the daughter of Lewis A. and Louise (Brooks) Getman. She was raised in Utica and received her education at Utica Free Academy. At one time, Beverly was married to Hurley McDougall. For many years, Beverly was employed with Chicago Market in Yorkville and Utica, later with Pharmhouse and lastly, JC Penney. Beverly enjoyed Polka dancing, doing crafts, especially making wreaths and truly loved her cats. Mrs. McDougall is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Karen and James Zecca of Utica; cherished grandson, Peter Pizzimenti and his wife, Sarah H. Jones of Oneida; adored great grandson, Hollis and her beloved cat, Lilac. She was predeceased by her brother, William Getman. A private service will be held at the convenience of her family. She will be laid to rest with her mother, Louise, in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Clinton.
